Training Specialist - Outreach, Awareness and Training (OAT) (Job Code 5)

Position purpose:
The Specialist works as a member of the Q-CERT OAT team to develop and deliver the Q-CERT training curriculum in information security, assurance, and resilience to audiences ranging from executives to technical staff and end-users. The Specialist is responsible for the design and development of technical documents and instructional materials which convey information assurance, security, and resilience principles and practices. The Specialist also supports the design, operation and maintenance of the Q-Cert Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).

Experience required:
Candidates should have 3 - 5 years experience as a Trainer or Educator, developing information security and technology training content; experience in virtualization technologies and the implementation of production services in a virtualized environment; and technical capacity to build and maintain training lab environments. The candidate should have a BSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Information Systems or comparable experience. Technical certifications (such as MCSE ) and an advanced degree (MBA/MIS) are desirable.

Specialist - Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP)(Job Code 6)

Position purpose:
The Specialist works as a member of the Q-CERT CIP team to provide expert guidance on improving information security policies and practices in Critical Sector Organizations. The Specialist will conduct risk based security assessments; assist in the development of suitable governance structures; develop measurement and compliance mechanisms; provide objective industry-specific advice and guidance over a wide range of technologies; and manage project activities over the lifecycle of customer engagements.

Experience required:
Candidates should have 7 years experience in IT security and management with a focus on technical and security domains, and possess knowledge of current security technologies, products and techniques in one or more sectors of critical national infrastructure. Candidates should possess a BSc in Computer Science (or equivalent) as well as knowledge of risk assessment techniques, ISO 27001, understanding of business continuity processes and disaster recovery, and strong project and program management skills.

Specialist - Incident Management (IM)(Job Code 7)

Position purpose:
The Specialist works as a member of the Q-CERT IM team with responsibility for proactive dissemination of threat and vulnerability information, and reactive incident response, coordination, investigation, and analysis. The Specialist is responsible for the production and controlled dissemination of threat and vulnerability assessments, best-practice recommendations, security communiqués, incident reports, and related technical analysis. The Specialist is also responsible to establish and maintain secure communication channels with partners and constituents, and to support the ongoing development and refinement of information security policies and practices.

Experience required:
Candidates should have a BSc or higher education, with 3 to 8 years of experience. Relevant technical certifications will be an advantage.

Senior Specialist - IT (Job Code 8)

Position purpose:
The Senior Specialist assists the ongoing build and maintenance of Q-CERT IT infrastructure and lab services. The Specialist provides project-related technical support to other Q-CERT departments and contributes in the preparation and evaluation of technical Requests-For-Proposals. Responsibilities include administration and maintenance of Windows Environment, Lotus Notes Domino Server, Cisco networking components; installation and maintenance of hardware, software and peripheral equipment based on design or installation specifications; and managing the implementation of services and projects related to IT infrastructure and technical labs.

Experience required:
Candidates should have 4 years experience and working knowledge of Windows/Unix systems, network administration, experience in writing and reviewing technical RFPs, and project management skills. Working knowledge of Lotus Notes Administration and Maintenance is desirable. Candidates should have a BS in Computer Science or equivalent with substantial exposure to multiple hardware platforms and integrated information systems, experience in service delivery, process design, and writing technical specifications

Distance Learning Specialist - Outreach, Awareness and Training (OAT)(Job Code 9)

Position purpose:
The Specialist works as a member of the Q-CERT OAT team to plan, manage, administer, maintain, enhance, and promote the Q-CERT Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). The Specialist will plan and procure VLE components; build, manage and maintain VLE systems; evaluate and assess new technologies for potential inclusion in VLE; create VLE content; and assist the OAT team in delivery of training program.

Experience required:
Candidates should have a BS in Computer Science or equivalent with 4 years experience in the design, operation and maintenance of computer facilitated training systems; experience in design and delivery of computer facilitated educational curricula; and proven education/training marketing expertise. Project management experience is desirable.
