Who is eligible for this service?

Commercially registered companies in Qatar wishing to open and operate an Internet café.

What is the approval process for this service?

• The applying local commercially registered company must submit to itQATAR's Technical Regulatory Authority an application for approval to open and operate an Internet café.
• The Technical Regulatory Authority will evaluate the application. If the application is approved, the Technical Regulatory Authority will issue a letter of 'No Objection' to the applicant (valid for 3 months) allowing the applicant to proceed with start-up preparation. Validity of the 'No Objection' letter may be extended upon request by the applicant and review by the Technical Regulatory Authority.
• The applicant must request an inspection by the Technical Regulatory Authority on the premises identified in the original application.
• The Technical Regulatory Authority will inspect the premises to ensure that all Technical Regulatory Authority regulations are met.
• The Technical Regulatory Authority will prepare the approval certificate.
• Once the applicants pays the approval fee, the Technical Regulatory Authority will issue the approval certificate.

How long does the approval process take?

Up to three working days from submission of application to issuance of the 'No Objection' letter. Seven working days from request to visit premises to issuance of the approval certificate.
