ictQATAR Annual Report
Only five employees worked at ictQATAR when we opened our doors in 2005. Today, we have more than 170 people on our team that have built ictQATAR from a vision into an innovative force that is improving people's lives and making Qatar a better place to do business.

To chronicle our accomplishments and highlight key milestones, we have just released our inaugural Annual Report. This comprehensive report will take readers through ictQATAR's journey and showcase how real people are beginning to experience the benefits of technology in their lives.

Dr. Yassir Khan, a clinical adviser for ictQATAR's e-health program is profiled in the Annual Report. He shares his insights on the ways ICT will revolutionize the medical field and how it can help him succeed in helping more people.

"Prior to coming to ictQATAR, I worked for the UK's e-health program, which is one of the largest in the world. The UK realized late in the process that the only way to successfully implement a national e-health strategy is to engage clinicians at the earliest stage. Clinicians are the ones that will be using the technology and know what can truly help them serve patients better," says Dr. Khan. "Qatar realized this from the very first day."

Dr. Khan says that ictQATAR recognizes that integrating ICT into the medical field requires ownership of the technology from medical professionals. He sees medicine as an unstructured science that technology can help, but if not implemented correctly, could also create unnecessary roadblocks. "Technology most not hinder a clinician's thought process. Instead it should make their work more efficient. If we do our job correctly, clinicians may be able to serve ten patients in the same time it took them to see five, while providing the same quality of care. "
